KIM holds the following formal conferences and meetings on a periodic basis every year:
Spring Conference of KIM (April, every year)
Fall Conference of KIM (October, every year)
 
These two meetings are the largest event in Korea in terms of the number of participants and papers presented. A wide range of topics are dealt with, such as metals, high polymer, ceramics, magnetic materials, electronics and semiconductor. About 600 pieces of poster publications are presented to undergraduate and graduate students. Events held during the presentation include a general meeting of KIM, provision of KIM¡¯s awards and special awards. As for Seojeong award, special lecture of the awardees is provided. Additionally, renowned overseas scientists are invited for lectures.
